Danish places for bird watching and photography, are attracting more and more fans of the genre from all over the world. In the wetland of the gulf of Kalloni the sea has neither waves nor foam. It is trapped in "pans" and "baked" to coagulate the salt. This is exactly the life-rich environment that birds choose, while in spring and autumn the people who observe them follow. In fact, their coexistence has reached such a point that flamingos with long legs and striking pink color are not disturbed by human presence. The wetland, which is part of the Natura Protection Network 2000, except the sea area of the bay, includes a large number of terrestrial wetlands.
